Introducing *Quite Broken*
A new studio for artful reflections on suffering & well-being
Hi—
This feed has been quiet for a while, partly because I’ve been absorbed in a collaborative project to re-imagine self-help from the POV of journalists and artists. It’s called Quite Broken and grew out of both a keen interest in “self-help” and a tough critique of the genre as it exists.
Coming soon, short books & helpful editorial in surprising places. But for now, on Substack, we’re posting short bites every weekday. They’re viewable in the app & look like this
and this
(That last one is a quote from D.H. Lawrence.)
We’re also posting short newsletters on Mondays, sent to subscribers by email—like on “What would Brian Eno do?” and the mass delusions of the Academy Awards.
This is all still in beta phase, but do please join us on the Substack feed if you have the inkling.
Of course I’d love to hear your thoughts & reflections & suggestions.
Warm best,
Josh
P.S. I’m not done with Syndactyly Missives, and you’ll hear from me in this digital space, too. Heart emojis. Prayer hand emojis.
